Anna's Hummingbird juvenile
Still working on its colours, by next spring he will be be flashy and gorgeous. This wonderful little guy landed beside me, I think he is a bit of a camera ham :)
A Fiesty Anna's male
A few days of sun and these little Anna's Hummingbirds are all fired up about territory. As we walked the path he took a run at us four times prior to perching and giving us a hissy song. Got to love a break in the weather!

He still had a bit of breakfast snacks on his bill, unidentified bugs. Thank goodness for the bird world or we would have a huge bug problem.
I have been watching this young male develop his colours over the past few weeks.
Anna's Hummingbird female
As I was standing in a field searching for an owl when I had a very unexpected encounter with this Anna's today. He landed close by watched me for a few minutes took off then returned this went on for an hour, what a treat!
The same Hummingbird as the green background this time he landed behind me with the field background.
One more Anna's. All three were taken from standing in the same spot as the hummingbird landed on various perches around me. I got the sense that I was perhaps standing right beside its favourite perch, oops sorry little guy :)
Anna's Hummingbird, male
He was busy buzzing walkers on the path from one end of the dike trail to the other. Cute little guy.
