Background colours are due to a forest fire in 2021, not many Owls returned to the area.

It and its mate were surviving in a partically burned out forest. We watched it hunt for moles which it ate in one big swallow.

This was under the forest canopy on a dark overcast day. I would have to say the only camera I have ever owned that could capture this is Nikon's D5. I consistantly out preforms any camera I have ever used. Not a perfect shot by any means, however it is way better than I could have expected with previous cameras..
