Looks like someone told a good joke. This raptor is about to throw a pellet, which didn't look as funny :).

She seems very comfortable in our minus temperatures, of course her feathers cover her entire body from head to talons. Easy to get attached to her we have been watching her for a week. She is so beautiful.

End of the Week
We have found this beautiful owl again today, what a treat it has been watching her.
She wasn't effected by other raptor flyby's, however, a Crow seemed to make her take on a defensive stance.
She gave us nicer snow covered perches today.
She could have flown away at any time; however, she chooses to stay between naps, garbage trucks, vehicles, and photographers.
A little scratch and preen.
She yawned, went thru the motions of throwing a pellet and sunned herself.
My what big feet you have my dear. She was giving herself a quick mani and paused momentarily.
Preening and a fluff up, she really is a beautiful owl.
