A newly fledged Eagle discovers the people beach.

Rainforest Bald Eagle Pair

We discovered this magical network of streams while kayaking. The tide would carry us in allowing the four of us to be completely silent while we rode along the narrow channels. We looked up and found the pair of eagles in this magnificent tree watching our movements.

We have had an almost perfect autumn to date, warmish weather, sunny skies, the leaves haven't been blown off yet which really helps brighten up a background. I took this at f/8 in hindsight I would have liked to try f/11 or 13 to bring more of the bg in focus. This was taken from my kayak, with the cold spell on its way I may not get back on the water again until next spring, sad to say goodbye to the nice weather.

Sometimes you just can't get on the correct side of the light, I was on the water with the river current carrying me past, the eagle just watched perhaps a little amused.
