More backyard birding there is a pair of Hairys, Downys, Northern Flickers and Red-breasted Sapsuckers hanging out in our trees, the Pileateds are around but not big on photo ops.

I found a pair of these lovely Woodpeckers today but the female was shy so no photos of her today.
While I was searching for the Barred Owl yesterday I found a great woopecker habitat, four species that I saw in a small area between paths.

She was working on the base of a fir tree tucked into the forest completely unaware I was there. When she noticed me she sat still which gave me a few photo ops. That lasted about 3 minutes then she carried on picking bugs from the treebark.
The challenge here was keeping my shutter speed up, although it looks bright shooting conditions were dark. ISO 6400.
