Java Finch also known as a Sparrow, juvenile

Nothing cuter than the Java Finch. Typical of the young, they are very demanding babies. I was surprised to read they were not intentionally introduced to Hawaii; they descended from escaped pets.

They are very tame it was easy to get a few close ups. This is an adult and two juveniles. Found in a park north of Kona by a bird feeder.

Java Finch

These little characters are the sweethearts of Hawaiian birds. They lived in the condo garden, ate, bathed and played all day. The baby Javas were my favourites.
