New Bear?

I'm not sure if this is a new bear or one that I haven't seen in 4-5 years. It takes me some time to ID from my files.. The bear stood in front of me at close range with the salmon for longer than I would have expected. Not cropped.

We found this little guy with Mom on the way back to camp. It was taken well after sunset using very high ISO. Look at that perfect tie. What a cutie!

He came from the forest, noticed us, sat down then watched us watch him.

Our new location is working well for us. This morning we had a brief encounter with this big fellow.

There is light coloured fur speckled on this bear's head. I'm not sure if it is lack of melanin or grey.

I was thrilled to find bears by a forest stream. This setting is a downed old-growth tree and stump; it dwarfs the bear.

Every Black Bear is unique both in looks and character. This bear has a curl to its gorgeous thick fur.

Hey you're new here. Once the bear realized we were there he leaned in for a closer look.

I was setting up my trail cam to see if there are any bears at this location. It turns out yes, there is :) Taken with my camera.

Meet my latest find, Han Solo. I was describing this bear to my friend Kevan when the word solo came up in our conversation. The three white chest marks connect into a deep "V". A good-looking bear that I see daily.

Curiosity brought the cub over to have a closer look at me. Mom was busy chasing fish nearby.

Calling Mom

The cub suffers separation anxiety each time Georgina joins Grumpy at the fishing hole. Georgina tried taking the cub into the area via different routes, but the cub ran on multiple approaches. At the last approach, she brought the cub beside me; it was content to stay and watch her hunt. Crazy cool!
