She is an older female bear still cub bearing however this is an off year for her. It was wonderful to see she is healthier than I have seen her in a decade...good old Scruf a sweetheart of a Bear.

Bears rely on the calories and nutrients the salmon provide to gain weight so they can exsist on fat reserves through the winter. Too bad there are not that many fish around this year you would think an intelligent society would simply stop all fishing until the salmon number recover, doesn't seem to be the case.
