The Silver Fox is is a melanistic form of the Red Fox. This one of two silver females we saw. Fox kits are coming soon hopefully tomorrow, I have a lot of sorting to do.
I have recently come across some information about this Fox . I always thought it was the male turns out it is a female that is co-parenting the kits with the Silver Fox female, very interesting. Obviously I have a lot to learn about fox behaviour, it made sense to me they would work as a family unit, well they are just no male involved I had never seen the kits nurse from her during our visits,that of course would have enlightened me. Not sure if this is common behaviour or very special behaviour.
