Bison Dirt Bath

He was thrashing and rolling kicking up dirt and dust.

Wood Bison Dust Bath

The largest of the herd walked over to a cut in the hill and put on a show. It was incredible to see this monster (upward of 2000lbs) Bison throw the dirt around. From our Alaska roadtrip.

Bison Calf

There were 5 calves in a herd of approximately 20 Bison.

This is a two photo stich of the Wood Bison herd coming up the hill, it was amazing to see so many of these huge animals.

Bison and Calf

The calf looks young it was very playful jumping and running next to Mom. They were seperated by a few kilometers from a herd of 20. At the pace Mom and calf were moving I'm sure they would have reached them within the hour. From our recent Northern BC, Yukon and Alaska trip.
