I was so thrilled with this photo shoot! Often the bears will not make eye contact or engage in anyway. We never make noises or try to get them to look at the camera, this was pure curiosity.
Mom is giving the stare-down with the cub standing behind her. We lucked out on this trip. We went again a few days later; a boar had chased these two off, and he wasn't as photogenic or friendly.
