    A sunset at Hyde Creek.

One of these days I am going to get down to the beach in the daylight and plan a shoot it is always a scramble in the low light when we see a good sunset. I guess that's what the pros do.

We were hours from anywhere driving the logging roads when we saw this beautiful waterfall. We checked the area over the first pass, then thought no too difficult to get in, then drove away. On the way back we stopped and looked again, ok, we have to photograph it! Not easy it ended up being a very physically challenging shoot. By the time we have finished the shoot, climbing around bush wading through water and slippery rocks, we had the shots we came for. Back on the road, we high fived, pleased we made an effort.

I like crusing the backroads for little gems like this. It can be very peaceful and calming on weekends when the logging trucks are parked not sneaking around corners and jumping out at us, we have had the odd wake up. This day I was by myself other than the noises coming from the forest there was not a soul around.

The black spot left of the bridge is me wearing my very stylish black bug suit. I need to concentrate on flying not swat at moquitos, horse/deer flies or black flies ...sometimes all at the same time with a few nats. The marshes are heaven for bugs and of course birds.

It looks like an easy fly from this vantage however I was not feeling brave enough to fly down this morning, too much turbulent air. Next time.

On occasion we see black bears bathing in this creek but not this evening. We did see one on the road which I captured with my DLSR. I do not fly my drone near wildlife it is strickly for landscapes.
