Barred Owl with dinner for the misses.
He flew in with the rodent then prepared it for a quick exchange with his mate.
Brown Creeper
Tiny birds are easy to miss as they are quiet and blend into the bark of most trees.
Pacific Wren
Defending territory in full song.
Bald Eagle
A four year old with a touch of the immature colours. From last spring.
Violet-green Swallow
It has taken me a long time to get a sharp photo of this speedy, irratic bird.
A forest wren that loves to sing.
A full-bodied song.
Portrait of a Pileated Woodpecker

Take off.
Barred Owl flies through the forest.
I had a few quick opportunities between the trees and bush as I tracked the Owl. I was shooting at ISO 14400 it amazed me the tracking stayed with the Owl. Somedays you get lucky.
Barred Owl in flight.
Barred Owl
Nice when the Owl perches on a low stump instead of high in the trees.
Something captured its interest, I would imagine it was edible.
Barred Owl in the rainforest.
Lots of moss covered branches on the island which is perfect for these forest photos.
Pacific-slope Fly Catcher
They are arriving any day from their winter in Mexico. I have seen lots of migratory birds so far this spring.
Laura Croft
Miss Croft watched her brother wander by, so she gave it a try. I was laying down getting a good angle on shorebirds when my friends said we got company. Laura and her sibling Braveheart were born in 2019 to Mother Trump.
Fresh snow.
On the way to Zebellos
Braveheart against the force of the water.
Bushtit
Song birds were active today, chasing other birds out of their territory. It must be spring.
