All ready for sleepy time although I'm sure she will be nibbling on tidal treats and berries for another few weeks.

He had a eight females plus there offsprings in his herd. We caught up to the females while he napped.

Braveheart tip-toes past.

A curious cub Braveheart, one of Trump's cubs from 2019, occasionally pushes personal boundaries. I was working with two cameras. One had my 500mm on the other my 300mm. This photo is with the 300mm uncropped. The feeling was similar to getting on the floor with a pet.. Not that I consider Braveheart a pet in any way, it was very cool to be this close to a young cub as he waded past.

Looking better than she ever has. It is so good to see her thriving after all the years she was barely exsisting.

I think he looks pretty chilled and kind of sweet here.

For a big guy he is a very sensitive bear. He liked to take his naps close to us then occasionally fall into deep sleeps. A few of the bears used us a safe place, which really makes one wonder what they thought of us. I suppose we could all live on this planet in peace if humans weren't so busy shooting it up.

I was out this afternoon in our local estuary, this handsome fellow jumped on to an old tree limb just prior to take off. How nice of him :)

When you are standing close to an Owl that you didn't know was there. What I didn't realize was there were three juveniles. Funny the look this one gave me as I was working my way to one of its siblings.

Braveheart

An offspring of Trump's from 2019 which was no big surprise as he is just like Momma, bold and unafraid. The camera makes him look big here partly because of the angle up. I was focused on a few shorebirds when my friends said, "we’ve got company"

Bubble Bath Bear

She had just come from the waterfall where this delightful foam build up was. The foam is caused by high levels of organic matter in the stream.

Bubble baths are for Bears too.

Fresh out of the bubble bath Georgina my favourite bear prefers to leave the foam on. Who is going to tell her to rinse off? : ) The foam is caused by high amounts of decomposing organic plant matter this makes the water in a stream brown. A healthy ecosystem upstream like a bog or fen produces the large amount of decaying organics.. Foam is produced as air, introduced in the turbulence of stream riffles, below waterfalls bubbles to the water surface.
