Georgina watches as another bear approaches, a female she would chase off a boar means a fight or she has to leave to aviod one.

Boris

A monster of a bear I would guess he ways in at close to 500lb. From summer files I am cleaning up.

Curly's relative

I was mistaking this big felow for Curly. He has a bent right ear and is a wee bit leaner.

Happy Bear

Funny sometimes they look happy to see me other times not at all happy .

Juvenile Eagle

A juvenile gets the back bone which it seemed to enjoy picking at. Not many food sources avaiable in January. Get it while you can.

Too close

We found two bulls near the road, my friend was having difficulty finding a safe place to pull off the road so I jumped out while she parked. What I didn't realize was both bulls decided they wanted to be where I was. Then I heard a man's voice saying, they will charge you. Ok then I guess I'll head for the drop off on the other side of the snow bank. As it turned out this big boy stopped and had a good look at me. I spoke softly throwing a few flattering words at him and he let me tippy toe away. I didn't see any defensive body language, no foot stomping so I didn't feel like he was an immediate threat, you never know with wildlife.

Cooper's Hawk, juvenile.

We first saw this young Cooper's taking a run at a Red-tailed Hawk, then we caught it wing-drying, it flew off I didn't expect to see much more of it.. We were shocked when we found it on the path at eye level. Here with the tail going up about to fire a round into the bush.. It was a good morning out.

Time to go. I checked the time we first started shooting till it flew off, 40 seconds. I had my teleconverter on and I had just selected a cropped 1.2 image size, a little tigher than I would have liked, but I wasn't about to give up the photo opportunity to change settings. :)

Stare Bear

Born in the winter of 2016, Stare Bear is developing into a healthy and rather handsome boar. Mother Scruffy, father? A reasonable guess would be Longlegs or Romeo, both tall boars. Scruffy's not talking :)
