If looks could kill. Making eye contact with bears can mean you are confrontational, depends on who you stare at and how it is recieved. I don't think Grumpy is big on eye contact but he keeps his distance so I don't worry about him being a problem. The only time he did come in close was to lay down and have a nap beside us. Again a bear selects us as the safe zone. Taken last spring.
