Mel Gibson

A three year cub we named Mel to keep the action figure theme going. Mel is Scruffy's last cub from 2018 I don't believe Scruffy wil have cubs again as she is a senior bear. Braveheart and Laura Croft are the other 2 year cubs from 2019, mother is Trump. The splashing is from salmon jumping in a pool ahead almost ready to head upstream.

Restless she really wants to nap but she may miss out on a salmon.

I think Mom said stay in the tree.

Later afternoon we were on our way back to camp when our friend Kevan said stop there's two cubs in a tree. The Mom headed for a swamp I think she wanted them to follow but they stayed put. The wind was blowing hard circulating fireweed pods that you can see blowning past.

Braveheart and Laura Croft

Two year cub sibilings play wrestle. Braveheart has the large white patch on his chest. These are Trump's cubs from 2019.

Long-billed Dowitchers

This was an all day effort to get these spooky shorebirds.. The previous day they took off immediately, so plan "b" was a different approach. I camouflagued myself then laid in hope they would travel down the beach in my direction. Only fours (very uncomforatable) hours later they came within camera range.
